iPhone 17 to Undergo ‘Significant’ Dynamic Island Changes, Says Leaker

The Dynamic Island experience on the iPhone will undergo “significant evolution” over the next few years, according to leaker “Majin Bu.”

In early June, we reported that Jeff Pu, an Apple analyst at equity research firm GF Securities, says all four upcoming iPhone 17 models will have a changed Dynamic Island across the lineup. Now, “Majin Bu” is corroborating Pu’s comments, saying in a recent interview:

I can reveal that the Dynamic Island is set for a significant evolution in the coming years. Apple appears committed to making it more functional and integrated, turning it into a key element of the user experience. This development could mark a step forward in device interaction, but for now, I’ll keep further details under wraps. Stay tuned to see how this innovation unfolds.

While Bu doesn’t specify what changes are coming to the iPhone’s Dynamic Island, there is a good chance we’ll see changes in the Island this upcoming model year. The feature first debuted on the ‌iPhone‌ 14 Pro models in 2022. Apple is now expected to debut the ‌iPhone 17‌ series during the second week of September.
