Pixel 10 Leak Reveals New Phone to Boast MagSafe-Like Wireless Charging

Google is expected to unveil its upcoming Pixel 10 smartphones during its August 20 press event, and a reputable leaker says the new handsets will boast MagSafe-like wireless charging.

As first spotted by The Verge, reputable leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) this week shared on X what he says is an alleged Pixel 10 marketing image that shows what appears to be a magnetic wireless charger (looking nearly identical to a MagSafe Charger) affixed directly to the back of the device.

Blass has a good track record when its comes to leak. Most of the leaks are related to Android devices, but occasionally include Apple devices too.

Apple contributed its MagSafe design to the Qi2 specification a few years back, and the Pixel 10 is expected to support Qi2, so this is likely a correct rumor.

It appears the Pixel 10 is making use of MagSafe-like charging, and it only took them five years to join the party. (Apple debuted MagSafe on iPhone 12 models in 2020.)
