Adobe Premiere App to Launch on iPhone and iPad September 30

Adobe today announced that it will soon release a more capable version of its popular Premiere video editing app on the iPhone and iPad in late September.

The app can be pre-ordered in the App Store, ahead of its September 30 launch. While the app is free to use, it does offer in-app purchases for cloud storage and generative AI credits. Premiere for Android is still in development.

Adobe promises that the new Premiere app on the iPhone and iPad will be more like Premiere Pro on the Mac and PC, allowing for “pro-quality video editing.”

If you’re familiar with Premiere’s desktop experience, you’ll recognize the multi-track timeline with vibrant colors and dynamic audio waveforms — and still have the freedom to trim, layer, and fine-tune with frame-accurate precision, all built for mobile. You also get automatic captions with stylized subtitles; unlimited video, audio, and text layers; support for 4K HDR; and more.

The app will allow users to export videos directly to TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram with a single tap, or the projects can be sent to Premiere Pro.

The new Premiere app will replace the more lightweight Premiere Rush app for the iPhone, which will be removed from the App Store on September 30. Existing users will be allowed to continue to use Premiere Rush on devices where they have already installed it, until the app is fully discontinued on September 30, 2026.
