Apple Quietly Moves M5 Apple Vision Pro Production to Vietnam

Apple has quietly moved its production of the recently unveiled M5-powered Vision Pro to Vietnam, according to AppleInsider.

While Apple continues to produce many of its devices, including its iPhone lineup, in China, the company has moved production of lower volume products outside of Chinese borders. As noted by Bloomberg, the Vision Pro is Apple’s lowest-volume product, making it a perfect product to have made somewhere like Vietnam. Packaging on the updated model, the M5 Apple Vision Pro, indicates the product is now being assembled in Vietnam.

Apple has worked to diversify its supply chain in recent years, and in recent times has made move to avoid paying a 25% tariff on imported goods from China. Diversifying the Apple supply chain is both time consuming and expensive, and Apple has been trying not to burn the bridges it’s built with China.

Vietnam has handled the assembly of Apple devices in the past, and the Cupertino firm is reportedly planning to assemble its upcoming Home Hub, expected to launch in early 2026, in the country.
