Apple on Tuesday seeded the release candidates of its upcoming iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1 updates.
Release candidates are usually identical to the final version of the software that will be released to the public provided that no show stopping bugs be found.
Registered developers and public beta testers can download the iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1 updates by going to the Settings app, then tapping on “General” -> “Software Update.”
The macOS Tahoe 26.1 release candidate can be downloaded by registered public beta testers from the settings app on their Mac.
The tvOS 26.1 release candidate can be downloaded from the Settings app on compatible Apple TV’s.
As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas or release candidates on their daily driver iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, or Vision Pro. Instead, only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
