Apple still has plans to offer a new AI-powered “Health+” service in 2026, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman. Gurman’s comments came in Sunday’s edition of his “Power On” newsletter.
Apple is reportedly planning to overhaul the Health app next year, which will include a new Health+ service, featuring an AI assistant. Gurman said that it “could make Apple one of the first major tech companies to gain steam in the health AI chatbot space.”
But let’s focus on a feature I haven’t discussed in a while: a revamped Health app with a new Health+ service. It will include an AI agent that helps users manage their health. If successful, the service could make Apple one of the first major tech companies to gain steam in the health AI chatbot space.
In August, Gurman said he expects to see Apple launch a paid Apple Health+ service with two new features in 2026. Gurman said Apple Health+ will add an AI-based health coach that provides nutrition planning and medical suggestions.
While Gurman had initially expected the coaching feature to be part of iOS 19.4 (now known as iOS 26.4), he later said that it would not be available until at least iOS 27. It would be built into Apple’s Health app on the iPhone and iPad.
Gurman did not provide pricing for the service, or whether it will be part of the Apple One services bundle.
