Apple Raises $3 Million for Global Fund’s Fight Against AIDS Via Apple Pay Promo

During the holiday shopping season, Apple donated $5 to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for every Apple Pay purchase made on Apple.com, or in the Apple Store app or in an Apple retail store in the US and other countries. The promotion ran from November 28 through December 7.

The Global Fund announced this week that the promotion has resulted in Apple donating a total of $3 million for the organization. Apple had capped the donation at $3 million, meaning Apple customers bought enough to raise the largest possible amount thanks to their purchases.

Apple has been a long-time supporter of The Global Fund, both through Apple Pay promotions and sales of its (PRODUCT)RED devices and accessories. The Cupertino company has raised more than $250 million for The Global Fund during its 19-year partnership with the (RED) brand.
