‘F1: the Movie’ Races Onto Apple TV on Friday

The Apple Original Films box office hit “F1: The Movie,” starring Brad Pitt, will make its global streaming debut on Apple TV, tomorrow, Friday, December 12, following its record-breaking theatrical run and a short run on on-demand. The film is the highest-grossing sports film ever, as well as the highest-grossing film Apple Original Films has ever released.

“F1: The Movie” also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia and Bardem, and was shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competed against the titans of the sport. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Kosinski, seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman.

The film is said to be Apple most expensive film to date, with a production budget of over $300 million.

The film went into wide theatrical release on June 27, 2025, and since then has broken records, debuting at No. 1 and collecting $631,527,111 at the global box office. In addition to being the highest-grossing sports film, it is Brad Pitt’s highest-grossing feature to date. The film boasts a 97% audience score on the Rotten Tomatoes popcornmeter.
