iPhone 18 Lineup Expected to Boast 12GB RAM in All Models Says Analysts

We still have eight months or so before the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to debut, and multiple sources claim to know how much RAM the new devices will be equipped with.

In a blog post last year, Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that he expected the entire iPhone 18 lineup to be equipped with 12GB of RAM. That means the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Fold, all expected to debut later this year, will have the same 12GB of RAM included in this years iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models.

Then last week, in a research note originally shared by MacRumors, Jeff Pu also said that the iPhone 18 Pro models and iPhone Fold will have 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Many observers also believe that the standard iPhone 18 will sport 12GB of RAM, up 4GB from this year’s standard iPhone 17.

While many believe Apple will release the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September, the standard iPhone 18 is not expected to debut until spring 2027, as Apple is expected to shift to a new two-phase launch strategy.

The iPhone 19 Pro’s A20 chip is expected to have the device’s RAM integrated directly onto the chip’s wafer, rather than being separate from the chip as in current models.
