HBO Max is coming to the United Kingdom and Ireland, but how much can viewers expect to pay for access to the streaming service’s extensive TV and film library?
Mashable reports the streamer has revealed that it will become available in the region on Thursday, March 26. The platform’s slate of originals – including The Pitt, Heated Rivalry, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and Euphoria – will be available for streaming starting on that day.
UK viewers have been watching HBO Max content through Sky and NOW via licensing partnerships.
HBO Max will have four different plans available in the UK and Ireland; two with ads, two without.
Basic with ads (£4.99/month)
Subscribers can stream on two devices in Full HD (except for movies that have an exclusive “first stream” on HBO Max after showing in cinemas).
Standard with ads (£5.99/month)
Subscribers can stream on two devices in Full HD (including movies that have an exclusive “first stream” on HBO Max after showing in cinemas). Plus, up to 30 downloads for offline viewing.
Standard (£9.99/month)
Everything offered by the “Standard with ads” subscription tier, but you won’t have to watch ads.
