Apple has announced that it is now accepting submissions for its 2026 Swift Student Challenge now through Saturday, February 28.
The challenge gives students around the globe a chance to showcase their coding skills and creativity by developing app concepts using Swift Playgrounds or Xcode. Apple says the contest provides students the opportunity to learn real-world skills that can be used in their future careers.
Swift Student Challenge winners will be selected based on submissions that demonstrate excellence in innovation, creativity, social impact, or inclusivity. From this esteemed group, we’ll name Distinguished Winners whose submissions are truly exceptional and invite them to join us at Apple in Cupertino for three incredible days.
Distinguished Winners are typically invited to attend Apple’s annual developers conference WWDC, at the company’s Apple Park headquarters. Apple has yet to announce WWDC 2027 dates, but the weeklong conference is typically held in June.
WWDC 2026 is where Apple will announce iOS 28, iPadOS 28, macOS 28, watchOS 28, tvOS 28, visionOS 28, and other software updates.
