Apple Arcade Adding Three New Games in April, Including 2025 iPad Game of the Year Winner

Apple today announced three new games coming to Apple Arcade in April, all three games are award-winners. In addition, major updates to two existing titles will also hit the all-you-can-play gaming service.

The three new games heading to ‌Apple Arcade‌ next month are:

DREDGE+: A  the complete edition of the award-winning fishing adventure to Apple Arcade. DREDGE+ was the App Store Awards’ iPad Game of the Year for 2025.

This version includes all released DLC content: The Pale Reach, The Iron Rig, Blackstone Key, as well as the custom rod. Players can experience the full breadth of this haunting maritime journey as they traverse foggy archipelagoes, dredge up treasures from the depths, and uncover mysteries lurking beneath the waves.

Unpacking+: This Cultural Impact winner of the 2023 App Store Awards is a “puzzle game about the familiar experience of removing possessions out of boxes and arranging them in a new home. Part block-fitting puzzle, part home decoration, Unpacking+ invites Arcade players to create a satisfying living space as they learn clues about the life they are putting together.”

My Very Hungry Caterpillar+: The multi-award-winning and App Store “Best of” My Very Hungry Caterpillar+ lets players care for their very own pet caterpillar. As players feed him, play with him, and explore his world, he grows bigger and unlocks new activities, eventually spinning a cocoon and transforming into a beautiful butterfly. It brings Carle’s timeless story to life in a delightful, interactive experience for the whole family to enjoy.

All of the new games will be available on April 2, 2026.

In addition, two ‌already available Apple Arcade‌ titles will receive updates in the coming weeks.

On March 19, the Star Wars saga continues in Disney SpellStruck, which adds new Adventure Mode maps inspired by Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back, along with Darth Vader and Lando Calrissian as new playable characters.

Then, on April 9, Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Puyo Puyo franchise by adding a brand-new game mode, Puyo Puyo Garden. In a first for the series, players can grow, nurture, and battle their own unique Puyo.

Apple Arcade is a subscription gaming service that can be accessed through the App Store and Apple Games apps, and provides access to hundreds of games across the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. Apple Arcade is available for $6.99 (U.S.) per month with a one-month free trial. Customers who purchase a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV receive three months of Apple Arcade for free. Apple Arcade is also part of Apple One’s Individual ($19.95 U.S.), Family ($25.95 U.S.), and Premier ($37.95 U.S.) monthly plans, with a one-month free trial. All Apple Arcade games have no ads or in-app purchases.
