Louisville Apple Store to Get $1M Storefront Facelift

The Apple Oxmoor Store on Shelbyville Road, in Louisville, Kentucky will soon be getting a $1 million facelift. Apple originally moved into the location, which boasts plenty of glass and a courtyard, back in September 2019, and apparently it’s time for a refresh.

Louisville Business First spotted a permit filed with Louisville Metro Planning and Design that reveals that Apple is planning to make some big changes, to the tune of about a million dollars.

While the filing doesn’t reveal a lot of specific details of the retail facelift, it describes the project as the “replacement of exterior cladding in the Apple Store courtyard. There are also other improvements expected for a 659-square-foot section of the store.

The renovation will include both interior and exterior updates.

The permit, which includes an estimated construction cost of $800,000, will be carried out by Sajo Construction of Montreal. Sajo has worked on multiple store projects for Apple over the last two decades.

The Apple Oxmoor location is a sizable store in Oxmoor Center, consisting of over 12,000 square feet of renovated space. This wasn’t its first location in the mall.

Apple has yet to officially comment or announce the project.
