Apple intends to make few changes from the current Apple Watch Series 11 to the upcoming Apple Watch Series 12 lineup, other than a new Watch face, claims Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Gurman’s comments came in the latest edition of his Power On newsletter. Gurman has previously said that while the Apple Watch Series 12 may get significant software updates, the wearable’s hardware would remain much the same as the current model’s hardware. Now he says that there won’t be many changes to either the hardware or software.
Gurman says that while we will see at least one new watch face, as well as performance improvements, changes in the new wearable will likely be limited to fixes and security updates.
Previously, there have been rumors saying the new Apple Watch will not directly include any Apple Intelligence features, as the Apple Watch’s limited amount of onboard RAM likely limits just how much AI could be accomplished on the device. However, it could display results from Apple Intelligence prompts from the iPhone.
