iOS 26.5.1 Update for iPhones is On The Way!

A minor update for iOS 26 is reportedly on the way, as MacRumors reports that its website visitor logs show visits from iPhones running iOS 26.5.1. These logs have previously proved to be reliable when predicting upcoming Apple operating system updates.

iOS 26.5.1 will likely be a minor update that fixes bugs and/or security vulnerabilities, and it could be released as early as sometime next week.

MacRumors’s logs also show that Apple has ramped up internal testing of iOS 26.6 as well. Apple will likely release a first beta of that update likely sometime in June. iOS 26.6 will likely be a minor update as well.

The updates for iOS 26 are soon to come to an end, as Apple shifts its attention to iOS 27, which will be unveiled during the WWDC 2026 keynote on Monday, June 8 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
