Here’s How to Jump to the Head of the Line of the Siri AI Waitlist on macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta

When you installed the macOS 27 Golden Gate developer beta, you likely also signed up for the Siri AI waitlist and were put at the end of the line and are still waiting to be notified you have access. Well, if you’re the anxious type (like me) and don’t want to wait, you’ll be glad to know there is a way to jump to the head of the line to access Apple’s new virtual assistant on you Mac right away.

Before sharing this information, Mactrast would like to warn you to run the macOS 27 developer only n a machine dedicated to testing, and not on your daily driver Mac. Plus, you should also be comfortable in using the Terminal app and that your Mac has recently been backed up. Mactrast (and this writer) cannot take any responsibility for any lost data! Got it? Good.

This workaround was first reported by MacRumors, who note that early reports say the following workaround is safe, and you won’t need to reverse the workaround once Apple finally puts you on the active list.

Here’s how to jump to the head of the line:

  1. Open Terminal on your Mac running the macOS 27 beta.
  2. Input the following command at the prompt and press Enter:

sudo defaults write “/Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/GenerativeModels.plist” “EnhancedSiriWaitlist” -dict-add Enabled -bool NO

  3. Restart your Mac to apply the change.

After restarting your Mac, Siri AI is ready to go.

Siri AI will boast personal context understanding, broad world knowledge, and onscreen awareness, allowing you to find what they need at that point in time. The new Siri will be able to answer your questions using the web for most any topic, and can use relevant information drawn from a your personal messages, emails, photos, and more.

A dedicated Siri app, also powered by Apple Intelligence, will allow you to revisit conversations from across their devices, will offer expanded Visual Intelligence capabilities, and even offer integrated writing tools. Siri will offer detailed, engaging responses in a natural back-and-forth conversation.

Plus, on the Mac, ‌Siri‌ is now integrated into Spotlight and available via right-click context menus on any file or window.

Have fun!
