Planning on Installing the iOS 27 Public Beta Later This Month? Here’s How to Get Ready For It

Apple has announced that the first public beta of iOS 27 will be made available in July, and guess what? July is here.

Traditionally, the first public beta of an iOS release generally follows the third or fourth developer beta, and the second developer beta is currently available, meaning we should see an iOS 27 public beta somewhere around mid-to-late July.

First of all, be sure you’ve enrolled in the Apple public beta program.

Here’s how to enroll and install the iOS 27 public beta:

• Sign up at beta.apple.com (it’s free to do so)
• When you’re notified that the public beta is available, open your iPhone’s Settings app and tap “General” -> “Software Update” -> “Beta Updates“
• Select the iOS 27 Public Beta option (restart your iPhone if you don’t see it) and follow the on-screen steps

You’ll need at least an iPhone 11 or newer to install iOS 27. However, you’ll need an iPhone 15 Pro or newer to be able to access Apple Intelligence features like Siri.

You may also be forced to join a waitlist to access Siri AI. To join the waitlist, open the Settings app on iOS 27 and tap on Siri and you will find the option to join the waitlist there. It can take a few weeks to receive access to Siri AI and the Siri app, although that time period may be shortened by the time of the public beta release.
