ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok Are All Currently Having Issues (UPDATED)

(UPDATE – 12:29 p.m. CT) We were misinformed that CLoudflare was having any issues. Cloudflare’s PR team reached out to clarify that Cloudflare is not experiencing any significant service disruptions at this time. We apologize for the error. Also, the chatbots are reportedly in the process of coming back online.)

It’s a bad day for AI chatbots and their users, as ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok are all completely down or are experiencing issues for many users. Downdetector shows all four are having issues.

OpenAI’s status page acknowledges issues across ChatGPT and Codex, showing “Elevated errors across ChatGPT and Codex.” Meanwhile, Grok’s website notes that it is currently experiencing issues as well. Anthropic’s status page indicates Claude is experiencing elevated errors for multiple models.

While Google Gemini’s status page doesn’t show any issues, Downdetector shows that some users are experiencing issues. However, it should be noted that I created the image accompanying this article in Gemini and had no issues in doing so.

All of the companies are currently investigating the outages, which might be related to issues Cloudflare is currently experiencing that are affecting multiple websites that use the cloud platform.

We’ll keep you posted.
