We Remember Steve Jobs on the 15th Anniversary of His Death

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the death of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, at the age of 56. Jobs died one day after Apple’s debut of the iPhone 4S.

As he did when he was Apple’s CEO Tim Cook paid tribute to Jobs on social media.

“There are people who leave a mark on the world, and then there are people who change it entirely. Steve changed the world and so many lives in the process.” said Cook, in a post on X. “He certainly changed my life forever. His spirit lives on in everything he created and everyone he inspired.”

Current Apple CEO, John Ternus also remembered Steve on X:

For the 15th year, Apple has a “Remembering Steve” page on its website, containing condolences shared by friends, colleagues, and customers around the world.

Over a million people from all over the world have shared their memories, thoughts, and feelings about Steve. One thing they all have in common — from personal friends to colleagues to owners of Apple products — is how they’ve been touched by his passion and creativity. You can view some of these messages below.

And share your own at rememberingsteve@apple.com

Meanwhile, The Steve Jobs Archive website offers photos, videos, and emails from Jobs, while also encouraging young creators to follow in his footsteps.

Thanks for everything you accomplished and built, Steve. Without you, this website wouldn’t exist, and I wouldn’t be doing what I love today. Steve Jobs had his faults, but he he knew how to keep us interested in Apple and it products. We miss you Steve, thanks for everything.
