Delivery wait times for the much-in-demand iPhone Duo may have improved by a week or so, but still sit at 89 days, according to UBS Investment Bank data as of October 30. (Via Investing.com.)
The USB Evidence Lab tracker tracks iPhone availability across over 30 markets. The tracker shows iPhone Duo buyer wait time at nearly three months, even after the slight improvement.
Meanwhile, you’ll be able to get your hot lottle hands on other new iPhones much quicker, with iPhone 18 Pro wait times averaging around five days, down three days from the previous week, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max holding steady at roughly 18 days.
UBS believes that reports of cracked screens are unlikely the main reason for shorter Duo waits (as some potential buyers may have cancelled their pre-order following the reports). However, the figures by themselves don’t trully indicate whether iPhone Dup demand has weakened or supply has improved.
Within minutes of the opening of pre-orders for the iPhone Duo in the early morning hours of October 16, quickly sliding to late January. However, most people that took their chances on launch day were able to walk out of their local Apple Store with their new precious in their hot little hands. This is because Apple sent roughly 80% of its initial iPhone Duo inventory to its retail stores, with locations holding as few as 50 units each.
While flagship stores reportedly had up to around 250 units, the Fifth Avenue had and unusually heavy number of units because Apple executives hung out there on launch day.
Apple described demand for its first foldable iPhone as “nothing short of extraordinary” and said it was working to satisfy demand “as quickly as possible.” Apple reportedly increased its orders of the iPhone Duo, so while pre-order customers shouldn’t hold their breath, they may see their expected delivery date improve over time. A report last week said Foxconn and component manufacturers had been instructed to increase production by roughly 44%, and increase from 9.7 million to 14 million devices. The increased numbers are for a full 12-month period, not just the rest of 2026.
iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB, with 512GB at $2,199, 1TB at $2,599, and 2TB at $3,199 on Apple’s U.S. store, where delivery estimates still sit at Janury 25.
