Sony has announced that it has joined Apple in offering PlayStation 4 owners an extended three-month free trial to view Apple TV+ on their consoles. The offer is only for users that have not previously had an Apple TV+ subscription.
The Apple TV app can be downloaded from the PS4 TV and Video section by visiting the section and following the on-screen instructions. Users will require an Apple ID to redeem the trail, as well as a PlayStation Network account.
Once the three-month trial expires, the Apple TV+ subscription plan will renew automatically at $4.99 per month until canceled. The three-month trial deal will be available until July 22, 2022.
As you likely noticed, the trial is limited to PlayStation 4 users. That’s because those that have the PlayStation 5 have already been offered a six-month free trial for Apple TV+
