New M5-Powered iPad Pro Expected to Hit Shelves This Year, Will be Equipped With Two Front Cameras

Apple’s next-generation iPad Pro models will be powered by Apple’s next-generation M5 chip, and will be equipped with two front-facing cameras, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman.

Gurman’s comments came in latest his Power On newsletter on Sunday, Gurman said the upcoming M5 iPad Pro models will boast portrait and landscape cameras, allowing users to capture photos and go on video calls without having to worry about the device’s orientation.

Current M4 iPad Pro models have a single front camera, designed to be used in landscape orientation. Face ID already works in any orientation on the iPad Pro.

Last year, well-connected Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said M5-powered iPad Pro models would enter mass production in the second half of 2025.
