Have a 3D Printer Collecting Dust? Make Your Own iPhone Fold Dummy (No, There Wasn’t a Comma)

Apple’s foldable iPhone is expected to debut sometime in mid to late 2026, and most rumors say it will boast a display that measures in at 5.4 inches when closed and 7.6 inches when open. Now, one 3D designer has created a mockup based on those specs.

MakerWorld, user named Subsy has created and uploaded a 1:1 ‌iPhone‌ Fold replica (via Macworld), which lucky folk with a 3D printer can use to print a model to provide a rough idea of the size of the upcoming foldable ‌iPhone‌.

Subsy says the model is based on leaked CAD files reportedly leaked from Apple’s own production line. While the model isn’t an exact replica of what Apple will ship next year (Subsy’s hinge is not based on any official Apple design), but it does provide “a physical reference you can actually hold.”

If you have a 3D printer, you can print the model so you can see how it compares to your existing ‌iPhone‌ (and whether or not it will fit in any of your pockets). Have fun!
