Apple has plans for a new MacBook Neo that will benefit from two key upgrades, an A19 Pro chip and increased RAM, according to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman. The current MacBook Neo is powered by an A18 Pro chip and has only 8GB of RAM,
Gurman also suggested that the next MacBook Neo will also have new color options. Existing finishes include Silver, Blush, Citrus, and Indigo.
While Gurman did not indicate when the next MacBook Neo will be released, the first half of next year seems likely, as the current MacBook Neo was released in March of this year at a base price of $599, although Apple last month raised the starting price to $699.
While the MacBook Neo was in high demand after its debut, we won’t know how the $100 price increase might impact sales until the company’s next quarterly earnings report on July 30.
