Apple Invites App Has Been Updated, Adding Three New Features

Apple’s free Invites app for the iPhone has been updated with three new features: Shared Albums now support full-resolution sharing, Image Playground now allows users to create high quality backgrounds in pretty much any style, and guests who need to verify their email can now tap a link in their inbox instead of entering a code.

The update contains bug fixes and performance improvements.

Apple’s full release notes for version 1.12.0 of the app:

• Shared Albums now support full-resolution sharing, so you can relive every moment in stunning detail right in the app. Anyone, including users without an Apple device, can join and contribute.

• Image Playground now lets you create high quality backgrounds in pretty much any style, including photorealistic, so your invite captures exactly the vibe you have in mind.

• Guests who need to verify their email can now tap a link in their inbox instead of entering a code, making it even easier to get into an event.

• This update contains bug fixes and performance improvements.

Apple released the app in February 2025, making it easy for users to create custom invitations to gather friends and family for any occasion, such as birthday parties and baby showers. Users can download Apple Invites from the App Store, or access it on the web through icloud.com/invites. While only iCloud+ subscribers can create invitations, anyone can RSVP, regardless of whether they have an Apple Account or Apple device.

The update is free for the iPhone and is available now in the App Store.
