Apple Announces Updates to Creator Studio, Adding New Tools and AI Features to Mac, iPhone, and iPad Apps

Apple today announced upcoming updates to Apple Creator Studio, its collection of creative apps that allow creators to access studio-grade tools on their Mac, iPad, and iPhone.

The update brings built-in MotionVFX collection of visual effects, plug-ins, transitions, templates, and motion graphics tools to Final Cut Pro for Mac. Motion VFX was formerly a third-party tool.  Apple’s curated Content Hub now also includes video assets and is available in Final Cut Pro.

Music creators using Logic Pro for Mac gain a new intelligent assistant in beta, an enhanced Stem Splitter that now separates drums, and a redesigned Browser that incorporates all sounds, with music understanding and even a Splice library.

Pixelmator Pro adds Generate Fill, which allows creators to transform selected areas of an image using natural language.

Keynote, Pages, and Numbers add new AI features in beta, including assistants that understand document context and new Model Context Protocol (MCP) support for workflow automation. Stock video is now available in the Content Hub, as well as new premium themes and templates.

Apple Creator Studio updates will be available on the App Store this November as a free update for existing subscribers. New subscribers can get the suite for $12.99 per month or $129 per year. Meanwhile, one-time-purchase versions of Final Cut Pro ($299.99), Logic Pro ($199.99), Pixelmator Pro ($49.99), Motion ($49.99), Compressor ($49.99), and MainStage ($29.99) are still available on the Mac App Store and will also receive the new features in November.

Note that the Logic Pro assistant is available only on the Mac, and requires an Apple Intelligence-capable Mac running macOS 27. The Keynote, Pages, and Numbers assistants require an Apple Intelligence-capable device running iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27. MCP support is Mac-only as well, requiring macOS 27. All of the assistants are in beta and are currently available in U.S. English only.

The update arrives on the App Store in November as a free update for existing subscribers, while new subscribers can get them for $12.99 per month or $129 per year.
