Former British PM Refused Steve Jobs A Knighthood
Face Palm!

According to a report in The Telegraph, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown yanked a possible knighthood from Steve Jobs. Apparently Mr. Brown was upset that Jobs turned down his approach to speak at a Labour Party convention, and promptly threw his toys out of the pram.

A former senior Labour MP said..

Mr Jobs was put forward for the honour by the MP for services to technology. Apple is credited with revolutionising the industry in recent years with its iPhone and iPad devices, which have unleashed a boom in mobile internet usage. Apple has been the only major global company to create stunning consumer products because it has always taken design as the key component of everything it has produced. No other CEO has consistently shown such a commitment.

If Jobs were to be knighted, he would join an exclusive club that includes Steven Spielberg, Rudolph W. Giuliani, Ronald Reagan, and Benito Mussolini.

An Italian Fascist who played a considerable part in WW2 has a knighthood, but the man who gave us the iPhone doesn’t. Makes sense I suppose!
