Apple To Include Light Peak In February 24th MacBook Refresh?

According to a report from CNET, Apple may soon be expected to announce their implementation of Intel’s Light Peak high-speed data technology – a technology that, in addition to being far faster than eSata, USB3 or FireWire (offering data speeds of 10Gbps at launch), is far more utilitarian, offering the ability to use much longer and thinner cables, and able to support existing technologies such as USB, FireWire, and many display standards simultaneously.  With Apple expected to release new MacBooks this Thursday, I don’t think it’s be a stretch for them to release the technology then and there.  It’s important to note, however, that Apple will likely use a different name for the technology.
