Apple Issues Java Update For OS X Lion

Following today’s exciting release of OS X Lion, Apple has released a series of several updates and downloads, the latest of which is an updated version of Java for Lion.

The new Java release will be downloaded on demand the first time you attempt to use a Java feature in Lion, and can also be downloaded via a stand-alone installer through this link. From the support document:

This release installs Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_26. OS X Lion does not provide a Java runtime by default.
