Confirmed: iPad 3 Event Set for March 7th – Retina Display, Quad-Core, and Possible LTE Support

According to sources speaking to iMore‘s Rene Ritchie, Apple is planning to hold their highly anticipated iPad 3 announcement on Wednesday, March 7th. The device will reportedly feature a Retina display and a quad-core processor, as well as possible LTE support.

According to sources who have been reliable in the past, Apple currently plans to hold theiriPad 3 announcement on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Along with the 2048×1536 Retina display, the iPad 3 will feature a quad-core Apple 6 system-on-a-chip, and possibly 4G LTE networking.

This date lines up well with AllThingsD‘s recent report, and claims of a quad-core processor line up well with multiple credible reports, as well as with code discovered in iOS 5.1 beta.

iMore is traditionally a very reliable source of such information, having correctly predicted the launch date and information on the features of the iPhone 4S.

* Update: The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple, well-known for being informed of the goings-on at Apple, has confirmed that the iPad 3 event will be held on March 7th, offering a simple “Yep” in response. Once Dalrymple speaks out on an Apple event, it may as well be confirmed.

Are you sure about this?  Sloppy, lets be kind and call it reporting, when your headline and the article have different dates.  Maybe you should get a jr high intern to do some proofreading for you.

Lets wait and see what Apple does.  Typically you geniuses get it pretty wrong with the rumor mongering.

    1. Different dates? They all say the 7th.

Bad reporting. Headline is very misleading, the date is not confirmed unless Apple confirms the date. Until then it should be considered as just a rumor.

  3. 243056 922677Hey this is kinda of off subject but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or should you need to manually code with HTML. Im starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 717720
