Amazon Disses iPad mini in Provocative New Kindle Fire HD Comparison

It’s no longer only Samsung, Amazon’s now at it as well. A provocative comparison of the Kindle Fire HD and the iPad mini has been posted on the Amazon homepage. With the heading ‘Much more for less’, it points out the weaknesses of the iPad mini and the positives of the Kindle Fire HD.

It is a rather pointless exercise though. I could just as easily create one that does the opposite, when in reality each product has its pros and cons. The above is a pretty low form of marketing. Not to mention they’ve left off a few convenient points – like weight, usable screen size, build quality, app selection, and the fact that Kindle Fire HD is essentially useless outside of the United States…

While valid points are made, about the quality of screen and speakers for example, you could say that the Kindle Fire only has a 7 inch screen and that it runs Android. Present a fair comparison or none at all.

Update: This is the comparison we think Amazon should have posted!
