TUAW reports that Google has released an update for Google Voice, bringing full support for both iOS 6 and the iPhone 5 to the VoIP app. The app now takes advantage of the iPhone 5’s taller screen.
The updated app also has unspecified bug fixes and performance boosts. While iPhone 5 users will see the most obvious benefit, earlier model iPhone, iPad and iPod touch uses should also update. The new version requires iOS 4.3 or higher.
Google Voice allows you to access your account right from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Use the app to send free text messages to US phones and also make international calls at very low rates. The app also allows you to access your voicemail messages with transcription.
