Temple Run 2 Hits 20 Million Downloads in Its First Four Days

Could Temple Run 2 measure up to its predecessor, which has been downloaded over 170 million times? Well, first indications are that it will have no problem, and could even surpass its older sibling.

In its first four days on the app store, Imangi Studios Temple Run 2 has already been downloaded over 20 million times. Plenty of applications have had success in their first week, but when you consider that Google Maps was downloaded 10 million times in 48 hours, and Angry Birds Space hit the 10 million download mark in just 72 hours, Temple Run 2′s run is looking mighty impressive.

You can almost hear the champagne corks popping at developer Imangi Studios. As of this article, the game is perched atop the free apps list in the App Store, and in-game apps purchases must be coming along nicely, as the game ranks 2nd in the top grossing rankings.
