MacBook Air Updates to Offer Minor Processor Update, Little Else

Earlier today we told you of an expected MacBook Air update due to debut in stores tomorrow. We now have additional info on the update, and there doesn’t look like there will be much to get excited about.

The new MacBook Air models will offer updated Intel Haswell processors, with no other specification changes.

The image of the new entry-level 13-inch MacBook Air specs from 9to5Mac, (seen above), show the new model will offer a 1.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor, a minor boost over the current model’s 1.3Ghz chip. It is expected that other models will show the same type of minor bump.

The new MacBook Airs look to continue to offer the same specs – storage space, RAM, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Thunderbolt – as the current models. The new units will also use the same Intel Graphics 5000 to drive the display that the current models do.

We’ll keep you updated if we hear anything else.
