Apple Spaceship Campus Rapidly Taking Shape – Construction Continues at Rapid Pace

New images posted to Twitter by KCBS New’s traffic reporter Ron Cervi show construction at Apple’s new Spaceship campus is clicking right along. Cervi has been posting aerial shots of the campus to track construction progress for several months.

The new set of images shows the perimeter walls that will house the foundation of the building are growing ever closer to completion.

The first phase of Apple Campus 2 is scheduled for completion in 2016. The site, near the company’s existing Infinite Loop campus, will feature a 2.8 million square foot ring-shaped building, a 2,400 car underground parking facility, a 100,000 square foot fitness center, and a 120,000 square foot auditorium.

The whole shebang will be powered by 100% renewable energy, and the plan includes more than 7,000 trees
