44% of Verizon Android Users to Switch to iPhone, 66% of BlackBerry Users

According to LA-Based online research firm uSamp, Android and Blackberry use on the Verizon network are about to take a massive hit due to the launch of the Verizon iPhone 4.  In their study, uSamp asked 700 smartphone users on both the Verizon and AT&T networks whether they’d switch to the Verizon iPhone on February 10.  The results were somewhat staggering.

Among their survey findings were that 44% of Android owners are either somewhat likely or very likely to purchase a Verizon iPhone.  They also found that a composite 66% (32 percent being very likely, 34% being somewhat likely) of BlackBerry users said they’d be making the switch.  24% of those switchers said they’d be willing to wait in line to get one of the first Verizon iPhones available.
