Exclusive: Thursday’s MacBook Pro’s To Gain Embedded SSD, Keep Aluminum Unibody Design.

According to an anonymous and reliable source within the retail section, Thursday’s MacBook Pros will prove to be quite interesting.  According to our source, the MacBooks will gain a 16-32GB SSD fused onto the logic board (as well as a standard SATA interface for a larger storage drive), and will keep the aluminum unibody design (with or without minor modifications), as well as the optical drive.  This also means that the new MacBooks will likely not be made of LiquidMetal, as has previously been hypothesized.

There are no details on the specs of the machines, and the pricing is said to be “in line with current pricing.”  Units are reportedly being shipped out to stores via truck as we speak.  Our source has confirmed that 15 inch models will definitely be available Thursday, and possibly 13″ models, with the 17″ models apparently coming at a later time.

As always, take such rumors with a grain of salt, but we for one think his information very likely to be accurate.  Sound off in the comments!
