OS X Lion On Track For WWDC Launch In June

According to MG Siegler of Techcrunch, Appleā€™s release of OS X Lion is nearing GM (Golden Master) stage and is on track for a summer release at WWDC.

GM software is a title reserved for software that is ready for general release but Siegler believes that Apple will soon be releasing GM1 for software developers to test.

When Apple launched OS X Snow Leopard, the GM candidate was released to developers a few weeks before the official public launch. If the GM1 release for OS X Lion resolves many of the bugs that developers have encountered with the previews and betas, then a June release of OS X Lion is highly likely.
