Apple’s First Ever Logo

If you lived under a rock and you had never heard of a company named Apple, you wouldn’t be far wrong in assuming their logo may feature an apple. But you guess an apple tree? And would you expect it to feature Isaac Newton?

Below is Appe’s first logo. It was designed by co-founder Ronald Wayne and features Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree with a phrase from Wordsworth:”Newton ‘A Mind Forever Voyaging Through Strange Seas of Thought Alone.” within the border.

Pretty ridiculous, isn’t it.

According to TechTree, Jobs thought the complex nature of the logo might negatively impact sales. They opted for a far more brandable and simple logo – the 80’s look!
