Amazon Cloud Player Now Works on iOS in Mobile Safari

Amazon quietly updated its Cloud Player web app to be compatible with Mobile Safari which means it now supports iOS devices.

To put it to the test, I tried it out on my old, wretched iPhone 3G and it worked.* I was able to switch to email and Twitter for iPhone and Body Movin’
didn’t skip a beat. Keep in mind the the 3G doesn’t support background app switching. Engadget tested it and said it works well with multitasking controls in iOS 4.3.3.

Apple better get in gear with their own cloud solution because I’m thinking seriously about moving my tunes to Amazon’s Cloud Drive.

James first bit into Apple when his mom and dad bought an Apple IIe in 1986. He switched to Wintel in the mid 90s when Apple was in a tailspin and back again to an iBook in 2005 when things were looking brighter. Hopefully there is no turning back to the dark side now.
