Record an Album on iPad With Free GarageBand Workshops at Guitar Center

Apple has teamed with US-based Guitar Center stores to offer free workshops on GarageBand. This is a big move for Apple to branch out of their own retail training programs to more than 200 Guitar Center stores around the US bringing home recording to the masses.

The Recording Experience workshops will take place from 10-11am every Saturday at local Guitar Center shops and will demonstrate signal flow and microphone techniques, virtual instrumentation and loops, effects, and mixing and publishing.

Grab your Mac or iPad with GarageBand and after the first four sessions you’ll be able to produce your own album to sell on iTunes – just like Gorillaz did with The Fall.

James Britton

James first bit into Apple when his mom and dad bought an Apple IIe in 1986. He switched to Wintel in the mid 90s when Apple was in a tailspin and back again to an iBook in 2005 when things were looking brighter. Hopefully there is no turning back to the dark side now.
