OS X Lion Is More Than 7 Times Cheaper Than Windows 7 Ultimate Edition

TUAW published the above image that illustrates the price disparity between Lion and Windows 7.

Windows 7 Home Premium will set you back $119.99, Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade will set you back $149.99, Windows 7 Professional costs $199.99, and Ultimate will set you back $219.99.

OS X Lion costs $29.99.

Included in that $29.99 is an option to install OS X Lion on up to 10 machines that you own. With Windows 7 you pay for their operating system on a per machine basis.

So if you have the misfortune of owning 10 PCs and you want to put Windows 7 Home Edition on each of them, it would cost you a total of $1,199.90. To put OS X Lion on 10 of your Macs, it will cost you a total of $29.99.

I think that’s called great value for money.
