Those of you that have recently purchase new Macs pre-loaded with Lion are in luck! Now that new Macs no longer include physical restore media, Apple has begun using the Mac App Store to distribute the iLife ’11 software included with every new Mac.

This is good news for people that own multiple Macs, because all Mac App Store purchases entitle users to install apps on every authorized machine they own – that means you just got a free iLife ’11 upgrade for all your older Macs as well!
When you open up the Mac App Store for the first time on any new Lion-enabled Mac, it links the three iLife ’11 apps to your Apple ID, thus giving you a more flexible license for iLife than has previously been offered.
Updating your other Macs with iLife ’11 in this manner isn’t even sneaky or dishonest in any way – it’s allowed, sanctioned, and authorized by Apple!
Apple’s new rules are so unapple!
