Sonnet has just announced a nifty and dreadfully useful new adapter for the Mac that uses a Thunderbolt connection to allow users to plug in and use ExpressCard/34 devices!
The adapter will support Sonnet’s own ExpressCard adapters out of the box, and claims it is very easy for manufacturers to write a Thunderbolt driver for their adapters to make them work with the new device as well.
The Echo ExpressCard/34 Adapter will be available sometime around the end of October, and is expected to be priced at $149.
