Of all the devices, stands, mounts and accessories I have seen for the iPhone, the MegaPhone might be one of the most bizarre. The device is a large white ceramic horn intended to magnify your iPhone’s sound without wires or power.
It’s unclear how well it works, but I’d suspect it doesn’t sound nearly as impressive as it looks. That being said, I could totally see one of these decorating my living room.
The MegaPhone is designed to amplify and optimize the sound output of your phone, and depends on a thin wooden base to suspend the object slightly from its resting spot, allowing for increased vibration and ultimately better sound. There is currently no word on the pricing of this device.
