Viber Teases Us With A Windows App – Mac App To Follow?

Check out the below image… nothing to get excited about, right? It’s just a random windows based app. Yes, but no.

The below image was posted on Viber’s Facebook and Twitter profile and both messages included a single smiley face.

What does it all mean? It looks like Viber is readying themselves to take a bite out of Skype’s desktop VoIP share.

The screenshot also features a purple background – giving a further hint that Viber is working on a windows app to bring their VoIP messaging service from the SmartPhone to the desktop.

Viber‘s Android and iPhone app lets users talk and message each other for free.

We contacted Viber for a comment about the screenshot and whether or not we can expected to see a windows or Mac app in the near future. Their response is below in relation to the screenshot.

We are continuously working to bring new features to Viber, and Viber to new platforms. Stay tuned – there’s more to come.
