Apple Expected To Hold Media Event On October 4th To Reveal Next Generation iPhone

According to John Paczkowski, of All Things Digital, Apple will hold a media event on Tuesday the 4th of October.

It is widely expected that Apple will finally introduce the 5th generation of the iPhone and announce its much anticipated release date. It is also a possibility that Apple will announce the release date of iOS 5 at the event.

According to Packowski,

While Apple could certainly change its plans anytime, sources said that the October 4 date has been selected by the company to showcase the iPhone 5. Sources added that the plan is now to make the new device available for purchase within a few weeks after the announcement.

It is expected that the iPhone 5 will inherit much of the iPhone 4’s design, however,  it is also expected that it will be thinner, have a slightly larger screen, an A5 processor, and an 8 MP camera. Other rumors include the possibility of Apple releasing two different models of iPhone with the possibility of an iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 release.

All should, hopefully, be revealed on the 4th of October.

The media event will be the first Job-less event and many eyes will be on Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook as he introduces the public to Apple’s latest gadgets.
