James Hoffa Calls Apple “Unpatriotic” For Outsourcing Labor

Jim Hoffa, Union President of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, attacked Apple during a TV interview on CNN’s State of the Union, calling the company unpatriotic for outsourcing their manufacturing overseas.

Hoffa goes on to urge President Obama to “challenge the patriotism” of American companies for investing money overseas rather than keeping more of their funds and labor resources within the United States.

Look at Apple, they have $76 billion dollars in their checking account, and they’re not spending it… instead of investing here, everything they do is in China, or in Asia somewhere… There’s something wrong with that.

Despite Hoffa’s comments, it’s unlikely that Apple will sever their tues with Asian manufacturing companies such as Foxconn. Check out the below video to see the actual footage of Hoffa’s State of the Union interview:
