Sprint Installing Signal-Boosting Hardware In Apple Retail Stores?

A new report from BeatWeek suggests that at least one Apple Retail Store is having Sprint signal repeaters installed, strengthening rumors that the iPhone 5 may support Sprint’s cellular network at launch.

According to the report, an electrical contractor has been contracted to install the repeaters at the Apple Store at The Domain in Austin, TX. A total of 5 repeaters designed for Sprint’s CDMA and 4G will reportedly be installed.

If Sprint really is deploying these signal extenders to Apple stores, this could serve as a strong indicator that the iPhone 5 will indeed arrive on Sprint’s cell network at launch, as rumors have indicated.
