Two Thirds Of Mobile Google Searches Come From iOS

Google employee and former FTC official Suzanne Michel testified under oath today as part of the Senate Judiciary hearings, reports 9to5Mac, revealing that Google, Microsoft and Yahoo are all trying to become the default search engine in Mobile Safari, with Google clearly taking the lead.

Google has clearly won this battle, with Apple likely getting some type of revenue for making Google the default search engine in iOS. The matter of Google’s victory became even more clear, however, as Michel’s testimony revealed that two thirds of all mobile searches come from an Apple iOS device, despite the fact that Android devices outnumber those powered by iOS.
